I Had Discolored Teeth All Of My Life, My New Smile With Implants Just Looks Perfect
When I was really young, I had some tetracycline given to me for infection or something, and it discolored my teeth so I spent most of my life, all of my life, basically, with discolored teeth.
Everybody compliments me on my new teeth, and they don't say, "I like your new teeth." They just say, "There's something different about you, and your smile looks great." I appreciate that.
Dr. Husein:
Marta, first, when I saw her, her main concern was the aesthetics of her teeth. Simply, the teeth looked very dark. She lost some teeth, and the solution from other dentists was removable partials. Of course, they made the partials look like the same old teeth. When she came in, we discussed some treatments like crown the remaining teeth, may have a new partial, or maybe restore it with something more stable, like implants.

The first time that I came in the office, we sat down and talked about the different programs available because there were some choices that Dr. Huseiin was offering. We decided to go with the crowns on the bottom and then the implants on the top. I had been wearing a partial denture. The teeth that were on the top that were left were in very poor condition. Dr. Husein recommended that we go with implants on the top.
Dr. Husein:
Of course, everyone likes something not removable, which is in place. With those implants, we started the same thing, We examined her TMJ, her joint was great. There’s no issues with that one, whatsoever. We took Impressions to again to build a smile virtually before we even worked on her.
MArta:
This was such a brand new thing to me. I had only heard about implants… The only people that I knew who had implants, it was like 30 years ago, and things were quite different, then. The technology has changed. Dr. Husein made sure that you’re making the right choices as far as things like color, whatever shade that you choose to go with for your teeth, because you don’t want to go too white, especially at my age, and I’m 65 now. I think they look just perfect.
Dr. Husein:
Now, she has implants and she has a full hybrid denture made of zirconia, and it’s fixed so she doesn’t remove it. Completely different lifestyle, doesn’t have to remove it, and obviously, it fulfills her aesthetic needs. I look at functionality before I lool at aesthetics. Everyone’s concerned with aesthetics. Eventually, we’ll get there, but you look at the functionality first before you get to the aesthetics, so functionally was doing great. Now, aesthetically, she’s very happy, way more excited about what she’s having right now.
